In 2009, after having spent almost 30 years as a [mostly] sedentary executive assistant, Toni Burt began Bodyconomics™, a walking-based ‘docu-how-to’ to assist women in achieving total body change by learning to adjust lifestyle in a slow and effective fashion. Bodyconomics™ is based on Toni’s own total body change in 2007 and subsequent/current maintenance.
Toni has released two DVD/CD sets, Bodyconomics™ 101: Walking Small and Bodyconomics 301: Walking Smaller, also released in Spanish as Bodyconomics™ 101: Caminando y Mejorando and Bodyconomics™ 301: Caminando y Mejorando Más.
Following the DVD/CD rollout, Toni became certified in personal training, wellness coaching and nutritional guidance. She then began a new endeavor, the Bodyconomics™ Podwalk Series – a no-excuse, economical tool for anyone wishing to improve walk style, speed and results in an enjoyable, achievable, level-based system that measures progress via BPM (beats per minute). Like the DVDs, these podwalks are soon to be made available in Spanish.
In April of 2010, Toni started the Dallas Women’s Walk Group, at no cost to members, in an effort to encourage any woman looking for health and fitness improvement, yet needing support and/or companionship of others in like circumstances. The DWWG schedules weekly group walks at White Rock Lake in Dallas as well as occasional dining events that casually share nutritional discoveries along with the various other subjects or concerns that arise amongst women.
